Terms & Conditions
These are the terms on which we quote for and carry out work. They are written to be read, not to hide behind. If anything here is unclear, ask us before you book and we will explain it.

1. Scope of these terms
These terms apply to all work carried out by Navs HID Direct Custom Tuning of 17 Girlington Road, Bradford, BD8 9NL, and to any quotation we provide. By booking a vehicle in you accept them.
Where you are a consumer, nothing in these terms removes or limits your statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, including the right to services carried out with reasonable care and skill.
2. Quotations and pricing
Quotations are given against a specific vehicle, identified by registration number, and are valid for 30 days. Prices published on this website are starting points for a standard vehicle and include VAT; your quotation is the binding figure.
If, once work begins, we find something that materially changes the job, we will stop and contact you with a revised price before doing anything further. We will not carry out additional chargeable work without your agreement.
Where a job requires us to order parts specifically for your vehicle, we may ask for a deposit covering the cost of those parts. Deposits for ordered parts are non-refundable once the parts have been supplied to us, unless the parts are faulty.
3. Bookings and cancellation
We work on one vehicle at a time, so a booking reserves a workshop slot that we cannot offer to anyone else. Please give us at least 24 hours notice if you need to cancel or move an appointment.
Repeated failure to attend a booked appointment without notice may mean we ask for a deposit before booking you again. We would rather not, and it very rarely comes up.
4. Vehicle condition
You confirm that you are the owner of the vehicle, or that you have the owner’s authority to instruct work on it, and that the vehicle is roadworthy, taxed and insured.
Every vehicle receives a health check before work begins. If that check identifies a pre-existing fault, worn component or maintenance issue that makes the requested work unwise, we will tell you and we may decline to proceed until it is resolved. We are not responsible for the failure of a component that was already at the end of its service life.
5. Modification work
Engine and transmission calibration alters the vehicle from its manufactured specification. You are responsible for declaring any such modification to your insurer, and for understanding that a manufacturer may decline a related warranty claim. We will tell you before booking which category your job falls into, and we provide a written specification sheet describing exactly what was changed.
Your original ECU or transmission file is archived before any change is written, and we will return the vehicle to that original calibration on request.
6. Work we will not carry out
We do not remove, bypass or disable diesel particulate filters, catalytic converters or other emissions equipment on road-going vehicles. We do not fit lighting that would fail an MOT. We do not disable safety systems.
We may also decline work where, in our professional judgement, the vehicle is not a suitable candidate, or where the request would place the vehicle or its occupants at risk. We will explain our reasoning and, where we can, suggest an alternative.
7. Warranty
We warrant our labour for 12 months from the date of completion. Parts and hardware we supply carry the manufacturer warranty, typically two years on immobiliser hardware and one to two years on lighting components.
The warranty does not cover damage caused by accident, misuse, subsequent work carried out elsewhere, further modification, or a failure to maintain the vehicle. Where you supply your own parts, our warranty covers our labour only, and we do not warrant the parts themselves.
If something is not right, contact us first and bring the vehicle back. We would far rather correct our own work than have you pay someone else to.
8. Liability
We maintain appropriate insurance for vehicles in our care. Our liability for any single claim arising from work carried out is limited to the cost of putting the work right, or the amount you paid for it, except where liability cannot lawfully be limited.
We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss such as loss of use, loss of earnings or hire charges. Personal property left in a vehicle is left at your own risk.
9. Payment and storage
Payment is due in full on collection, before the vehicle leaves the premises. We accept card, bank transfer and cash. Title to any parts supplied remains with us until payment has cleared.
Vehicles left more than seven days after we have notified you that work is complete may incur a reasonable storage charge, which we will tell you about before it starts to apply.
10. Complaints and governing law
If you are unhappy with anything, raise it with us directly on 07969 585530 or at info@navshiddirect.co.uk. We will acknowledge a complaint within two working days and aim to resolve it within fourteen.
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them.
